Trip to Yamanakako - Bat Cave

300¥ l'entree.

Trip to Yamanakako - Happy Drink Shop

With such a nice name, you can expect a very cute coffee shop. "Welcome" shows the board. So warm. It is also mentioned "Yamanakako Hirano shop". Maybe a chain coffee shop...

Trip to Yamanakako - Suspension bridge

I visited this place last year. This was another trip to Yamanakako. As I never uploaded the pictures, this is a good chance.
I usually don't prepare anything when I go out for driving. I just choose a road and drive slow enough to stop anytime. I usually let the cars behind me pass once they show too much impatience, sticking to my back too close for example.
So, the bridge just came up into my sight and I decided to stop to check.
The view is just great. Impressive enough for the kids... and my wife.
The bridge is part of a hiking course.
This shop was selling some fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
Perfect for a snack time.

Trip to Yamanakako - Michinoeki

End of the Summer. I went for a long week end to the Yamanaka lake, one of the five Fuji lakes. I took the Doushi road all along to the lake. In the middle, about, the visitor center: Michinoeki (map). A kappa looks over the place.
Umeboshi
Unidentified Comestible Vegetable. A huge なす?
Michinoeki (=road station?)
Before check in, we drove around the lake and get into the surrounding hills.
Nice observatory spot.

Summer mood

Back to this summer. Pictures deep stored in my mobile phone memory.

Spa Yukaraku

After a long drive, the best way to relax is having a hot bath. So I stopped by the Yukaraku spa. I don't think this a real hot spring. To get the real onsen naming, I think the shop should provide the same water taken from the ground with no additive and no re-warm.
Anyway this is a cheap but nice place. You can have different kind of sauna, a cool room (check the 2nd floor) some baths, jacuzzi and rotenburo (outside). You also have an affordable restaurant. This is a good place to go with a family, a place where you don't feel sorry if your kids are a bit noisy.

Nanohanadai Observatory in Yabitsu Pass

At the end of the Yabitsu pass from the Miyagase dam and before get in Hadano city, you can stop at  this observatory. This give you a great view of the Sagami bay. With a clear sky, maybe winter would be the best, you can see many famous spots.
I could recognize Yokosuka Peninsula, Enoshima, Hatsushima, Ooshima, Izu...

Yabitsu Pass

Everytime I go to the Miyagase Dam, I take the same road 64. This time the way back will be on the Yabisu Pass. Surprisingly, this is a thiny road. Most of the time, this one car wide with many curves. You follow some small and cold river. The only way to stop by is to enter a picnic place. About 500¥~1000¥ for a car with extra ~600¥ per person to get to enter.

But if you look for it, you can find some free places. Harder to access, you will also find less people and more peaceful atmosphere. The problem with such places, some people don't get used to bring back their own trash.

This is definitely a pleasant drive. Slow life and plenty of nature.

Machida Music Plaza

Again, a long time without any news. Back to this summer.
I had to go to Machida. It was a good opportunity to visit around. In front of the Mina department store, some week ends, there are some amateur singers and groups take their chance to become famous.
To be honest, some of them were not bad at all.

Right next the scene, some restaurants
